Your smile is valuable and so is your TIME. Now you can have strong, beautiful, Porcelain Crowns milled and placed in a SINGLE office visit. With state-of-the-art CEREC technology, many of our patients have enjoyed the convenience of SINGLE-VISIT Porcelain Crowns, Onlays, Inlays, and Veneers. We understand the inconvenience patients face with the traditional Crown process, and because we understand that time is valuable, we use this revolutionary process whenever it is possible.
Before and After images of the work made possible by CEREC technology in a single visit.
Using a special 3D Optical Scanning Camera, our doctors take a 3D image of the tooth. We work from this image, which is actually a Precision Optical VIRTUAL impression of the tooth.
Computer Aided Design Technology helps Drs. Schuyler & Blyholder design the Crown from the optical impression. You can actually watch us design your new Crown on a full-color computer monitor right before your eyes!
Then, CEREC creates an extremely precise restoration. The computer-aided manufacturing that follows the process described above is extremely precise for a great fit when we bond the newly milled restoration to the tooth. A block of the ceramic restorative material is inserted into our onsite CEREC robotic milling unit to be machined to exact design specifications sent from the CEREC computer. The Crown is now ready to be bonded to your tooth. Finally, the doctor tries the restoration in your mouth to ensure proper fit and bite. The restoration is then polished and bonded to the prepared tooth. Your tooth is restored with no “temporary” or return trip necessary. All of this is done in a SINGLE appointment!
CEREC has been clinically proven in millions of successful restoration procedures, and patients all over the world have benefited from the convenience and cost effectiveness of CEREC. Restoring damaged teeth before it’s too late can preserve more natural tooth and protect your smile for the future, not to mention the fact that restored teeth are more visually appealing than damaged teeth (and indistinguishable from your natural teeth).
